Using only what exists today, you could completely replicate the form factors and flexibility of SAS and SATA options. Including hot swap bays.

Maybe but how many home users will switch to Linux?

Really this risk is no different than the issue that happened to Anthem with HR entering their login information at we11point.com instead of wellpoint.com. It's not the correct site. The same risk occurs regardless of the wifi or not. (and of course making sure it's ssl)

I'd take anything over a BB. They've been a joke for a long time now.

    Ditto.

    How did you fool it?

I've heard that Kinect constantly gets people wrong. It will be interesting to see how fool proof they can make this.

I got his comment that you won't be able to use a selfie or such based on the tech and algorithms used..

That was addressed in the video.

The shear fact that they use a non default user shows that they probably have an above average ability to use their computer, which could be helpful in their job.

It's been a while since I've seen a company that had IE set as a default.

Same. Chrome is so easy to deploy with Group Policy and has just as much control as IE if not more. Now firefox doesn't (or didn't) pull it's proxy settings from the system so that can be an issue with some content filters.

As much as I hate Chrome it is supported by our EHR vendor where FF is not... might be time to look into using it.
Though we'll still have to keep IE around for the hospitals.

You hate chrome? Its so much faster than firefox. They have both Administrative Template files (Group Policy) and Enterprise MSI installers to deploy. https://support.google.com/installer/answer/146164?hl=en

Yep I do... I just seem to have little problems with it... Plus I like the plugs better on FF.

Office 365 Drive Mapping for Enterprise Desktops

Office 365 Drive Mapping for Enterprise Desktops allows users to utilize folder redirection for SharePoint Online, and it is especially helpful for Windows 7 desktops or higher with no local storage being used in the process. With this tool, you can map drives directly to your Office 365 storage options, such as OneDrive for Business, which is based in SharePoint Online.

Oooh, this one is pretty cool. I will have to play with it in the future.

LOL. They have a place, like in shared services where that is the only thing exposed. It can make sense. But for running stuff on your own, I find that they get in the way and make things hard and slow. And it is an extra thing to patch and secure. Running a LAMP server is so easy without a panel. Easier than a service with a panel, I swear.

Mac is not something you choose if you want to retain investments. Mac is an investment in keeping current with the Mac ecosystem. It's expensive, but it has its own value. But when you choose Mac, you choose an ecosystem where they, not you, determine not only the upgrade schedule and set of technologies to use but the entire ecosystem that you can use.

Yeah but they used to keep the Pro audio/video folks in mind with the Pro Lines. It looks like they are consumerizing the pro line more to get more volume in sales
