None of the Nexus phones are on this list. Makes me kind of think they were compensated somehow.

The Nexus 6P and 5 are both there. You don't even have to buy a phone from them, just a SIM card.

yeah, I've been looking. I really want the next version of the Nexux, the current one is already to old to want.

I'm still on a Nexus 5. You shush 😛 Actually paying for phones kinda sucks if you want the latest/greatest. That's the only think that might be considered not great by Americans about the mvno I use, Ting (That's my referral link, fyi.)

I'm actually getting new glass put on my nexus 5 and I'm going to mount it in my car for OBD2 data display.

If I had not broken the glass I'd still use it, it's a really solid piece of kit.

If the phone & touchscreen still work... why not keep it around, lol.

Mine is 2 years old now, which means the battery needs replaced, and it's been dropped a number of times. So sometime soon I need to pop the glass, replace the battery, and make sure all the connections are solid. It's been a trooper for sure.

I have a note 4 right now and am curious what the Note 6 (or probably named 7) will feature for sure. Lots of leaks and rumors. Most likely will be my next phone.

cause he has $1000 in purchases there already.

Maybe, not necessarily - if that's your only reason, then yes, sunk cost thinking, but the reason can be in the list of reasons to stay.

Because I travel internationally and the ability to get repairs and support and for the devices to be reliable are critical for safety. I've made the mistake of switching off of iOS to Android while travelling before and was left dangerously out of touch. A mistake that I won't repeat.

when was that? Android is much more mature today. I'll definitely give you that Android 2-4 years ago could leave you wanting compared to the "it just works" of the iPhone.

That's exactly what everyone said at the time. I've heard the rhetoric ad nauseum. Android "used to be bad", but it is good now. No one has problems... until you cant get one that works and then everyone comes out and says "well except for X problems on any device not made by Y" and that info always conflicts with what all the other Android people say. Hearing it today just reinforces my concerns about Android. It's the same statements repeated now as then.

But you can say the same thing about iPhones - features that simply don't exist. Who knows.. I might just be blowing smoke up my own ass right now, I haven't been on a modern Android in nearly 2 years.

that said, my wife has a S6 and likes it just fine, never complains, it does what she wants - but then again, like me she barely uses its. She has email, calendar, texting, calling and words with friends - she's happy.
