That's where an old fashioned straight razor kicks butt. It doesn't have that continuous clogging problem nor does it have a limit as to how much it can cut at once.

My skin is so sensitive, though, that I only use an electric razor. I'm very tempted to try a straight razor, though. But with kids in the house they are pretty dangerous to have around. But it would be nice to have that and an old fashioned shaving creme brush set.

I used to. Horrible razor burn from even a single shave, though.

I've found that's often more from the shaving cream than the razor.

It does take finding the right combo to make things work...

                  I (basically) use this:

It's over 50 years old, and still going... just change the blades.

                  Using this for lather..

Let me shave you some money....

Ever heard of Dollar Shave Club? Its pretty cheap, but once again we have a middle man. Dollar Shave Club buys DORCO razors and then ships them to you at a regular interval.

You can buy the same exact razors directly from the DORCO website or even Amazon

For $20 you can get a premium razor ( comparable to gillette fusion) and 10 blades

Yeah, it's not a bad deal buying it yourself. I honestly just like the idea of not having to remember to order more heads.

The thing is that $20 would probably last you a year. I shave daily and use a cartridge for about a month. With proper care and maintenance to your blades, they last alot longer than advertised.

I'm seriously considering buying a safety razor. I haven't found a multi-bladed razor that doesn't give me razor burn... and the electrics would never shave close enough. I've tried different gels, creams, etc... even after shave and nothing seems to work right. I've heard straight or safety razors don't necessarily have that issue.

I hate electrics. It seems like the more expensive they are, the shittier they get (for me at least). The multi-bladed razors work for me if I use the right Shaving Gel.
