Microsoft unveils Windows Terminal, a new command line app for Windows

          For developers, developers, developers
Microsoft is launching a new command line app for Windows, dubbed Windows Terminal.

I wonder if it's a branch from their Azure Shell?

Finally. This is huge. Their totally crap terminal app(s) have been one of the biggest things making the Windows desktop so painful to use. Not the shells in the terminals so much, it's been the actual terminals (many people associate the CMD terminal with the CMD shell incorrectly and it is often the terminal that they hate so much.) This is a huge leap forward for Windows.

@scottalanmiller it's still a separate app, ie not included by default across all OS.

It's a start, at least. Where do we get it?

My guess would be the MS app store, so chocolatey may be an option.

I don't know if I want dark mode all the time, but it would be nice if Google maps (in Android Auto) would switch to dark mode when the headlights turn on.

That's common with giant companies. That's why the start up world is so large, someone has to be buying a lot of them or no one would do it.

Hey Apple, if you're listening I'm starting a new business where I drink all day on a beach.

If you want to give me a few million for my business idea I can let you in on the "What I drink" and the "beach that I'm on".
