Really? Nobody knew about the MDM?

It was one of the big things that they debuted in SW '13.

I went to 2012, then again in 2015.

I didn't attend physically but watched the live streams. I believe it was apart of the keynote, like they always are.

What about it would make anyone take notice?

The key feature for me was integration into the SW application. That time, I was just getting introduced into SW. They marketed it as a fully featured MDM solution. Which was an attractive feature, especially for non-profits, since that was who I was working for at the time.

I knew about it, read about it, tried it, decided it was more a token/hobbled/gimped than anything I needed, no useful features and finally dropped it... in less than a week... I think it was a week, might have been a day or two. It was 4 or 5 years ago and I don't think there were any 'new' features in that time.

                    My thoughts on "free" MDM

The MDM was provided by Maas 360 which was bare bones as you could not modify existing devices, you needed to renroll.

Id MUCH rather community.spiceworks.com point to ML instead to take over. They can keep their software.
